A recent trip to Chicago left me with some great restaurant recommendations!Latino restaurant Carnivale impresses patrons first with the ambiance. The large restauarnt, with a ton of extra room for parties, is covered from floor to ceiling with vivid colors, velvet curtains, and decorative art pieces. The flavors on the drink menu only hint at the exotic flavors that are incorporated into the food. When dining here be sure to start your dining experience with their famous quacamole! This is a great place to try new flavors, it's bound to be great!

The long lines are worth the wait at Mia Francesca. Not only is the Italian food amazing, the staff is friendly and accomidating. (3311 N. Clark Street #773-281-3310) Visit: http://www.miafrancesca.com/restaurants/mia/
Plus, while you're waiting to get in Mia Francesa, I suggest grabbing a drink at Platiyo. (3313 N. Clark Street #773-477-6700) Visit: www.platiyo.com
For another great Italian meal try Scoozi! The food is great, the wine selection is plentiful, and the atmosphere is spacious but welcoming. (410 W. Huron St. #312-943-5900) It's part of the Lettuce Entertain You Enterprise, so you know it will be good! Visit: http://www.leye.com/restaurants/
My cousin suggested that I try this great cafe in the Wicker Park neighborhood, Milk & Honey Cafe, for breakfast or lunch. I did, and it was GREAT! The Homemade granola with low-fat vanilla yogurt and fresh fruit was amazing! I also recommend trying one soups and/or salads that change weekly. Plus, they have a glass case featuring all their fresh-baked goods, including pastries, cookies, cakes, breads, etc.
