Splitsville for Paul McCartney & Heather Mills
People reports that Sir Paul McCartney, 63, and Heather Mills,37, who have been married for four years, are separating. The couple's joint statement says: "Our parting is amicable and both of us still care about each other very much but have found it increasingly difficult to maintain a normal relationship with constant intrusion into our private lives, and we have actively tired to protect the privacy of our child."
The couple married in June 2002 in a $3.2 million wedding in Ireland. Their daughter, Beatrice Milly, was born in Oct. 2003.
According to NBC News, the couple did not sign a prenup which may allow for Mills to clain a quarter of McCartney's estimated $1.5 billion fortune.
